Saranellos Brunch Wedding Day | Westin Chicago North Shore, Wheeling, IL | Mr + Mrs Dawson
If Katherine and Brandon’s engagement session was fun, their timeless Saranellos wedding day blew me out of the water. They had a brunch wedding — more brunch weddings please! Everyone that attended showered their nuptials with so much love and joy and well wishes, it was such an honor to capture their special day.
Fun fact: Katherine was a guest at a wedding I did in 2020 and caught the bouquet! It was the first wedding her and Brandon went to as a couple… you could say, they were meant to be.
The details of their big day were the sweetest. Brandon proposed to Katherine with a friendship bracelet that we had to include in their detail photos. Katherine also included her baptism bonnet and the magic hanky.
Katherine and Brandon exchanged Pokemon pins during their ceremony — Brandon is Charmander and Katherine is Psyduck. (This fits their personalities so perfectly!!) Before their first kiss as a married couple, they did their secret handshake followed by a double pinky swear — and then kiss. These two are so in love and I can’t wait to see the beautiful life that they build together.
Another highlight of their wedding day? Everyone on the dance floor (myself included) scream-singing “I’ll Make A Man Out Of You” from Mulan during the reception.
I have and always will be a sucker for the under the veil portrait, give me all the long veils for all the photo ops please!
