Anna and Shawn’s engagement session at the Appleton Yacht Club had all the best things… pups, pink trees, and true love! These two are getting married here in October in an intimate ceremony and I am so pumped for their wedding.
When Anna emailed me about doing their engagement session at their wedding venue, I knew right away that these photos were going to be so special. I am so excited to recreate some of these photos on their wedding day in October. The photos we took on the bridge at Lutz Park especially. Now picture the leaves in all their autumn glory, with Anna and Shawn giving me an epic kiss on their wedding day. Excited is an understatement, y’all!
It’s also worth mentioning… Please bring your pups to your engagement session! I will never say no as long as the property we are on allows them!! Anna and Shawn’s three big dogs were such a hoot, and we had so much fun including them in our session as well!
And, a fun fact! Anna is actually the mother of one of my former grooms, and I am so excited to catch up with Morgan and Tyler at their wedding!

Leah and Tim’s spring engagement session at the old Mount Morris Mill was such a treat. Their love for each other runs deep and you can tell by the way they make each other laugh, show their true selves, and aren’t afraid to show a little PDA.
These two are getting married in just a couple of weeks and I am so excited for their wedding. Tim grew up in Weyauwega, a hop, skip and a jump away from Waupaca, and their wedding day will cement the new traditions they are starting together up here in Wisconsin as a family of their own.
During their session, Leah confessed to me that her and Tim looked into buying this property a few weeks ago. They have a big dream of opening a bakery after they get married! While this particular property didn’t work out for them, they wanted to remember this little slice of country life where the seed of a dream was formed. They are so excited to work on this dream together once thing settle down after the wedding!
The old Mount Morris Mill just reopened as a new business, Dam Good Coffee Shop!

Okay, yall, my 2022 photography season has officially started so let’s kick things off with Trisha and Bradley’s downtown Burlington engagement session!
Fun fact: Trisha and I went to the same high school, and she was one of my senior picture clients waaaaayyyyyy back when I first started my business! It was such a joy to catch up with Trisha and see how much her life has changed in the last decade since we did her senior pictures in good old Burlington.
Her and Bradley are getting married at one of my fav hometown venues, Mercantile Hall, next April!
During their engagement session, we ran around on top of the parking garage and in the parking lots and alleyways behind Mercantile Hall. We reminisced about first kisses — which always seem to happen at the movie theater, don’t they? Mine was in the hallway up front by the exit in grade eight… Trishas was in the alley behind the theater in grade nine. We even took a photo there with Bradley, so Trisha has a photo of a sentimental spot with her last first kiss. Beautiful. Pinch me.
This is the kind of magic your engagement session is made for, people!! And I include a complimentary one with every wedding collection so we can get to know each other better and just hang out before your wedding day.
Shooting downtown like this always brings me back to being nineteen with just my camera and a dream.

This couples session in the autumn woods makes me swoon when I am scrolling through the archives. Lane and I have followed each other on Instagram for a few years. I watched her travel the country and get married this summer, plus adopt the cutest puppy via Instagram and lowkey hoped that one day, I would get to photograph her and her husband, Zach, together.
When she reached out about a fall mini session with her husband Zach and their puppy, Rory, I couldn’t not say yes! We met on a chilly October morning in the most perfect light in the autumn woods.
Their puppy Rory is such a character! At five months old, she loved being able to run the trail and look for all the sticks that were bigger than her to drag around! I cant believe how much bigger she’s gotten since we took these photos through her updates on Instagram. And I occasionally see them going for walks in my neighborhood too.
I can’t not mention that Lane also runs a small business called Wisco Knot Shop! Her macrame decor + keychains, coasters, hat racks… they’re all stunning. Community over competition is how we do things in my corner of the internet, and I love shouting out the small businesses that my clients are working so hard for!

Maranda and Aaron are getting married in 137 days! Their fall engagement session was beyond perfect. I know, I know, I say that every session but this one really was one for the ages. Perfect light, peak fall colors, the perfect leaf pile to play in… it all adds up to magic, y’all. And you know perfect light + magic + your love story is always one of my favorite things to photograph.
I originally met Maranda and Aaron at his brother Adam’s wedding that I photographed back in 2020. These two know how to tear up a dance floor, and I am so pumped to see them in action at their own wedding!
Aside from being crazy about each other, Maranda and Aaron also love animals. They have three dogs, two cats, and chickens all at their new home! They also are both Tech Ed teachers in the Waupaca school district! Maranda teaches at the middle school, and Aaron teaches at the high school. Aw, love!
Maranda and Aaron aren’t afraid to get goofy with one another, laugh and have fun together. You couldn’t even tell they hadn’t been in front of a camera since their senior photos back in high school! Show up and bring your awkward selves to your session. I promise you that we will make some magic together that you will cherish for years to come.

Ashley and Justin are made for each other. Their love is so beautiful and honest and true. They bonded over their love of dogs, drinking beer, cheering for the Packers, and the rest, as they say, is history. These two are down for anything — and I mean anything including champagne spraying a beer for the camera! Ashley’s maiden name is Busch so of course we had to break out the Busch Light just for the occasion. We had such a blast during their fall engagement session in Tomahawk!
I made the road trip up to Tomahawk to photograph their engagement session with all the beautiful leaves on Ashley’s parents property where these two are also getting married in October! They are aiming for a beautiful wedding in the woods vibe. They wanted the same for their engagement session and let me say — I am HERE FOR IT!
Also, a little fun fact: Ashley and I are first cousins! I am pumped to get to be a guest at her wedding and see a lot of my family that I haven’t seen in forever.
Their wedding photographer is booked solid (hello, busy season!), and I got to jump in and get some photos of these two with the gorgeous leaves. Their engagement session also happened to be on the same day our grandma passed away six years ago. She truly brought us together this day for a reason!

Hannah and Jordan’s engagement session was so much fun! We had originally planned to do their photos at Red Mill here in Waupaca, but we arrived just after they closed to do their photos… so that meant, onto Plan B! We rendezvoused at a park right in the middle of Waupaca that I have taken photos at a million times and made some magic together.
One of the best parts of your engagement session for me is being able to witness firsthand the true love and connection you and your partner share with each other. Hannah and Jordan are totally comfortable and in love with each other. They actually just eloped at the courthouse a few weeks ago because they just couldn’t wait to marry each other.
At the end of their session, they had a little surprise that they wanted to share… Hannah is pregnant! I am over the moon happy for them and wish them all the best.

Jennifer and Stefanie are getting married next September at Poplar Creek Barn in Oshkosh, and I cannot wait for their wedding! Their summer engagement session at Memorial Park in Appleton was the perfect blend of romance and goofiness.
Jennie and Stef met at work at Mercury Marine, and a romance blossomed from then on!
They wanted to bring a retro JC Penney Portrait Studio kind of vibe to their engagement session, and I am all here for it! Right out of my brief stint in college, I was a photographer at one of those studios. (Actually the same studio my parents took me to as a child to get my portraits done!)
We did their engagement session at one of my favorite times of the year… black eyed susan season! These little flowers bring me so much joy, and I always love photographing them.

Vicky and Ben are getting married next weekend in McHenry, IL! To say I am excited for their wedding is an understatement.
I met Vicky and Ben last summer when I photographed her friend Kristen and Sean‘s wedding last summer. Vicky was a bridesmaid and she loved my photos from Kristen and Sean’s wedding so much that she knew once Ben popped the question, I was going to be her photographer.
It’s always the little things like this that my heart sing with joy, y’all.
Vicky and Ben said, “We’re just two awkward goofballs!” at the beginning of their session.
I laughed and said, “That’s good! I can make you look not awkward and comfortable in front of the camera!”
And then we proceeded to make some magic at one of my favorite places on earth, Burlington Garden Center.

Teagan and Dan are basically obsessed with each other. Their entire session, they were smiling, giggling, laughing… and quoting their favorite show, Letterkenny. These two met in college at UW Whitewater and the rest, as they say, is history.
Funny story: while at UW Whitewater, Teagan actually was roommates with one of my old Adrians co-workers her junior year!
After college, Dan got a job as a police officer here in the city of Waupaca. He wanted to incorporate his policar car, and Teagan asked if we could also incorporate his badge into some of her ring shots.
Y’all… there really isn’t much that I will say no to at your engagement session. If you bring me something sentimental or important you, we will try our hardest to get it in your photos!
I’m super excited for Teagan and Dan’s backyard wedding next spring here in Waupaca.
