Monk Botanical Gardens Engagement Session | Wausau, WI | C + B
Caitlin and Brad invited me to capture their engagement photos at Monk Botanical Gardens in Wausau on a golden October morning. The drive up to Wausau alone was worth it that weekend when the fall colors were in their full peak for the season. I love getting to explore new-to-me places that you guys love during your engagement session, and C + B’s botanical garden adventure was no exception.
We frolicked around in the woods after they held a paper lantern festival the night before, danced on top of the look out point, and explored all the gorgeous spaces Monk has to offer. I loved all of their butterfly statues, and Caitlin shared a story with me about her late grandfather appearing as a monarch butterfly. Being able to honor little personal moments like that during your session means the world to me and is truly the foundation that my photography business is built on. These personal touches will be the stories you get to tell later on, and whenever you look back at these photos, you will think of the person you love that you have lost.
