Kelsey and Garrett’s Red Mill engagement session was so much fun. These two are deeply in love, so obsessed with each other, and aren’t afraid to show it.
Your engagement photos and the way that they feel, the joy and the love and all of those emotions that come forward in the final photos, all depends on you and your partner and your willingness to be silly with each other and kiss in public. When you let go of the Pinterest perfect engagement boards, bring your awkward selves and let go of expectations, your photos are authentic and filled with that joy and love that you feel every single day. I tell all my couples, “Bring your awkward selves and we’ll make magic together — I promise!” And then results really speak for themselves.
These two were down for anything. From drunk walking in the woods, to “So do you guys wanna have a leaf fight?”, they weren’t afraid to be silly and laugh and focus on each other. That’s the key to those candid looking photos everyone loves so much. Focusing on your connection with each other rather than look at the camera, smile, and say cheese. It makes all the difference.
