Danes Hall Wedding | Mr + Mrs Mantes
My last wedding of the season for 2023 was a beautiful day at one of my bucket list wedding venues — The Danes Hall in Waupaca. Since they renovated the building from an antique store to a wedding venue in 2019, I have been dying to do a wedding there, and Lidia and David fulfilled this photographers bucket list wish. Their wedding day was such a beautiful celebration of everyone they love, and then threw the best party afterwards.
We started the day with rain in the forecast, umbrellas in hand, and a promise that no matter what happens with the weather — you will be married, and that’s all that really matters. By the time their ceremony rolled around, the skies had died down into fluffy white clouds and I cheered because that meant photos in the pretty park right next to the Danes Hall… also known as one of my fav local parks to take photos in. The Garden Club keeps the park looking pretty year round and I appreciate their work so much.
Lidia and David’s friends really know how to get out on the dance floor! I broke out my 30mm lens at the end of the night, and I love the effect that the wide angle added to their reception shots. Definitely gonna pull it out at more weddings next year!
