Prairie Engagement Session | Jorgens Park Preserve, Scandinavia, WI | M + B
Makenzie and Branden’s prairie engagement session at Jorgens Park Preserve was the epitome of spring. The lilacs were in bloom, and the prairie exploded with tiny yellow flowers and the first of the dark purple lupines. M + B and their love story is so playful, tender, and full of joy. These two met on social media, sent Snapchats back and forth all the time, and the rest was history! It made sense for the spring flowers to be the backdrop to express that gentle side of their love.
I always strive to make your engagement session feel like a cute little day date and I’m just a third wheel with a camera along for the ride. When you show up to your session and say, “Oh, we’re so awkward. We have never been in front of a camera before,” that’s actually music to my ears. I will gently guide you into poses with movement, intention, and where real emotion shines through. I always want you to come out of your engagement session and say, “Hey, y’know what? That wasn’t bad at all… That was actually pretty fun.”
These two are getting married at Bear Creek in Manawa next year and I cannot wait for their wedding day! I haven’t done a wedding there since 2018 and I am so excited to be back at Bear Creek.
