Springtime Jorgens Engagement Session | Scandinavia, WI | P + M
Paige and Mark’s springtime engagement session led us to Jorgens Park Preserve in Scandinavia! These two love hiking, camping, and spending time with their little family outdoors so it made sense to go for a little walk down the prairie for their engagement session! The lupines and wild parsnip growing on the prairie gave us the perfect pops of color on a cloudy spring day.
Fun fact: We were trying so hard for apple blossoms for their engagement session, but Mother Nature had other plans. Two days before our session, Mother Nature handed us a severe thunderstorm and completely decimated the apple blossoms in my planned location AND my backup grove, so Plan B it was!
We made art out of slow, tender moments together. Planning a wedding is stressful. It’s time consuming, there are so many emails and phone calls and meetings, and you feel busy all the time. Your engagement session is really your chance to slow down, be present, and take in this fleeting time where you hold the title of fiancee. It’s a blip in the bigger picture all compared to forever, but that’s exactly why this season in your life deserved to be documented.
Plus, when you have kiddos of your own one day, they will point to these photos one day and say in their little toddler voice, “Mama, you and daddy BEAUTIFUL.” What’s better than that?
These two are tying the knot at Bootleggers in Amherst next May and I cannot wait for their wedding day!
