Backyard Wedding Day | Waupaca, WI | Mr + Mrs Kutil
Audrey and Cody’s backyard wedding day could not have been more perfect. They invited all of their nearest and dearest to one of their favorite spots in the world, Audrey’s family’s lake house that has been in their family for generations. I teared up a little bit behind my camera seeing Audrey’s grandparents wedding certificate framed in the bathroom the girls were getting ready in. You could feel the love of all the generations of family that had come before them in anticipation of their wedding day.
The Chief Waupaca from Clearwater Harbor even made an appearance during their ceremony!
Once I got to look at them and say, “Hey you guys? You’re MARRIED!” and they gushed with joy and clinked their custom painted champagne flutes, we all packed up and headed over to one of my favorite venues in Waupaca, the historic downtown Danes Hall.
A few years ago, the community arts council commissioned a bunch of artists to do mural installations in the alleys behind all the downtown businesses. These murals are some of my favorite hidden gems for late night bride and groom photos. My couples love the colors and getting to pick ones really represent them and their interests and personalities. Audrey and Cody loved the candy butterfly wings at Shindig and the dragon mural in the alley!
