Stevens Point Family Session | The Goehrings
Repeat clients are a photographers ultimate love language! When Megan emailed me about her family’s updated photos for 2022, I threw the ultimate thirty-second dance party (Britney Spears singalong included!). While I was location scouting for their Stevens Point family session this year, I came across the most beautiful waterfall and knew they were the perfect family to make some magic here.
The leaves were at their peak color during our session, and the littles loved running around the woods to play on the trails. This year, Henry loved sitting by the dam and watching the fishermen saying, “Daddy, we do that too!” So cute.
I shared that photo of Megan and Gracie holding hands as a sneak peek and she messaged me, ”You probably don’t know this, but that ring says Henry Grace.” THIS is why details and small moments matter so much during your session — their hands holding yours, grasping by fingers with their little baby hands, won’t be this small forever.

Family sessions are always a good reminder for me (and for everyone!) to let the kiddos run the show. They were cold and wanted to be done so we stopped to run around in the leaves and they were good to go for a few more minutes! Finding little games to play and letting your kiddos just be kids and play by themselves helps us to get the most genuine, authentic photos of your family.
